What This Service Covers

Finding the Right Helper
for Your Household

A domestic helper placement is not just a recruitment transaction. It involves bringing someone into your home — and that requires a level of care that most agencies skip.

Sunpower Employment handles the full placement process for foreign domestic workers (FDWs) in Singapore households. We work with employers to understand the specific household needs — whether that is childcare, eldercare, general housekeeping or cooking — and source candidates whose experience, temperament and expectations genuinely fit the role.

Every placement is handled in full compliance with MOM regulations, including proper documentation, fair employment terms and the Employer Orientation Programme (EOP) requirements where applicable.

Types of Domestic Workers

We Place Helpers Across All Household Roles

Different households have different needs. Tell us what yours are — we will find a candidate whose experience matches.

  • Cleaning & laundry
  • Cooking

  • Home organisation

The Process

How We Place Domestic Helpers

Every step is handled properly — from understanding your needs to documentation and post-placement follow-up.

Understanding Your Household

We start by understanding your household — the number of family members, ages of children or elderly, any specific care requirements, dietary needs, language preferences and the day-to-day duties you expect the helper to manage.

  • Household composition and size
  • Specific duties and daily schedule
  • Language and communication preferences
  • Childcare, eldercare or housekeeping focus

Candidate Matching & Shortlisting

Using your requirements, we identify candidates from our active database and current helper pool. We review their work history, previous employer feedback and skill sets before shortlisting. You receive a curated selection — not a bulk list.

  • Relevant work experience and track record
  • Previous employer references where available
  • Personality and household compatibility
  • Document and eligibility verification

Documentation & MOM Compliance

Once you select a candidate, we guide you through all required documentation — work permit applications, employment contracts, security bonds and the Employer Orientation Programme (EOP) where required by MOM.

  • Work permit application assistance
  • Employment contract preparation
  • Security bond coordination
  • Employer Orientation Programme (EOP) guidance

Placement & Settling-In Support

After the helper arrives, we follow up during the settling-in period. If issues arise early — and sometimes they do — you have someone to call. We stay involved until both parties are settled and the placement is working well.

  • Arrival and orientation support
  • Settling-in period follow-up
  • Mediation support if needed
  • Responsive post-placement assistance

What Employers Should Know

Your Responsibilities
as an FDW Employer

Hiring a foreign domestic worker in Singapore comes with legal obligations set by the Ministry of Manpower. We guide you through all of these — but it helps to understand them before you begin.

This information is provided for general awareness only. Always refer to the official MOM website for the most current requirements.

Read MOM FDW Guidelines

Employment Contract

A written employment contract must be provided outlining duties, rest days, salary and working hours.

Rest Days

Employers must provide at least one rest day per week. If a rest day is worked, compensation must be given.

Medical Coverage

Employers must purchase medical insurance and personal accident insurance for the helper.

Employer Orientation Programme

First-time FDW employers must complete the MOM Employer Orientation Programme (EOP) before the helper arrives.

Accommodation & Welfare

Adequate accommodation, meals and a safe living environment must be provided for the helper.

Why Choose Us

What We Do Differently

Comprehensive EA Licence

Our licence (18C9069) covers all domestic worker categories. You are dealing with a properly licensed and regulated agency — not an unregistered middleman.

Ethical Placement Standards

We do not overcharge helpers or impose excessive placement fees. Fair treatment of candidates is non-negotiable — it is also what produces better long-term placements.

We Match, Not Just Send

We spend time understanding your household before shortlisting. A mismatch in the first month costs everyone — we work to prevent that from the start.

Reachable After Placement

We follow up. If an issue arises during the settling-in period, you can reach us directly — not a generic support inbox.
